3D Grids
In Scott Robertsons book "How to Draw" I red a interesting chapter about grids (a underlying perspective structure whereof you can build up your images). As a result I thought about how to generate several grids for different lenses in 3D. So that I don't have to construct a grid over and over again. Together with a fellow student I ended up with a small setup in Maya whereby it is possible to render linear and curvelinear perspective grids and determine the angle from the later drawn object to the camera. The orange circle is the cone of view.

Greyscale Studies
This semester I painted dozens of these short tonal studies from movie
stills, landscapes, or portraits. That helped me a lot constructing my own paintings. Here are some of my favorites. It took me 30 minutes per image.

Figure Drawing
I like figure drawing a lot. At school I’m attending a class weekly. I love to experiment with form and line. Here some of my favorites from the last months.

Zoo
I regularly draw in our local zoo. Especially the sketching of animals is quite fun for me. I enjoy to watch the apes, the giraffes, etc.
